P Marlin November 2014
When traveling, I like to take opportunity to find old cemeteries. The Smoky Mountain National Park is full of old cemeteries, with some a little difficult to find or get to. Just past the Mingus Mill entrance is the Floyd Cemetery. Marked by two stones on the side of the road (Highway 441), we parked just across from the entrance on the gravel turnout then walked a short distance up the hill to the cemetery.
Just south of the Floyd Cemetery is the Mingus Mill. I have included a photo of the Mingus Mill in this photo blog because the Mingus family is buried in the cemetery.
